Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Desaign ("Desaign", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our website, applications, and AI-powered packshot and showroom services (together, the "Service"). Desaign is operated from Denmark and is subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

Quick summary: we collect your account details, the images you upload, and basic usage data to run the Service and process payments. We use trusted AI providers (OpenAI, Replicate, fal.ai/Google) to generate packshots and Stripe to process payments — we never sell your data. Public Showroom links are visible to anyone you share them with. You can request a copy or deletion of your data at any time.

1. Who we are

Desaign provides a software-as-a-service platform that allows garment and fabric manufacturers, designers, and brands to generate AI-assisted product packshots, try-on visuals, and shareable digital "Showrooms" for buyers. Desaign is based in Denmark. For any questions about this Privacy Policy or your personal data, contact us at privacy@shotform.com.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Account information

  • Name and email address provided when you register;
  • A securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text);
  • Subscription plan, credit balance, and billing status;
  • A Stripe customer ID once you subscribe or make a purchase.

2.2 Content you upload or generate

  • Photos, sketches, and images of garments, models, and locations that you upload to the Studio;
  • AI-generated packshots, try-on images, and other outputs created using the Service;
  • Garment metadata you add (names, descriptions, materials, care instructions, style codes, colourways, notes) and Showroom content you publish.

2.3 Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not collect or store your full card number, CVC, or other card details — these are handled directly by Stripe in accordance with its own privacy policy. We retain only the subscription/plan status, transaction history metadata, and Stripe customer reference needed to manage your account.

2.4 Usage, session, and analytics data

  • Login session tokens (used to keep you signed in and stored as cookies/local storage on your device);
  • Showroom analytics — when a Showroom is viewed, a garment is opened, an image is downloaded, or a download is requested, we log an anonymous session ID, the event type, and a timestamp so that Showroom owners can see engagement with their collection;
  • Saved colour preferences (Pantone/hex values) linked to your account;
  • Standard server log data such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps, used for security, debugging, and abuse prevention.

2.5 Information from buyers viewing a Showroom

If you share a public Showroom link, visitors to that link may optionally submit their name, email address, and a message when requesting a garment download. This information is shared with the Showroom owner so they can respond to the request, and is not used by Desaign for any other purpose.

3. How we use your information

  • To provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including generating AI packshots and try-on images;
  • To create and manage your account, subscription, and credit balance;
  • To process payments and prevent fraud;
  • To operate Showroom features, including analytics for Showroom owners and download-request emails;
  • To communicate with you about your account, transactional emails (e.g. password resets, download notifications), and — where you have agreed — product updates;
  • To maintain the security, integrity, and availability of the Service;
  • To comply with our legal obligations.

4. AI processing and sub-processors

To generate packshots, recoloured garments, and try-on visuals, images and prompts you submit are sent to the following third-party AI infrastructure providers strictly for the purpose of producing your requested output:

ProviderPurpose
OpenAIVision analysis and Pantone-accurate recolouring
ReplicateSketch-to-packshot image generation
fal.ai (incl. Google Nano Banana models)Photo-mode packshot and try-on image generation

These providers process the images and text you submit on our behalf under their own data processing terms and may temporarily retain data as required for abuse monitoring under their respective policies. We do not permit these providers to use your content to train their general-purpose models where an opt-out or "no training" option is available, and we select providers that offer API-level data protection commitments. We also use:

  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing;
  • Email delivery (SMTP) — to send transactional emails such as password resets and Showroom notifications.

We may update this list as we add or change providers; material changes will be reflected in this policy.

5. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract — to provide the Service you have signed up for, including account management, image generation, and billing;
  • Legitimate interests — to secure and improve the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and analyse Showroom engagement for our users;
  • Consent — for optional marketing communications, which you may withdraw at any time;
  • Legal obligation — to retain certain records (e.g. billing data) as required by law.

6. International data transfers

Some of our service providers (including AI processing providers and payment processors) are located outside the European Economic Area (EEA), such as in the United States. Where this is the case, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and providers' own compliance frameworks, to ensure your data continues to be protected to a standard consistent with the GDPR.

7. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only:

  • With the sub-processors listed in Section 4, solely to provide the Service;
  • With anyone you choose to share a public Showroom link with — content in a published Showroom is accessible to anyone with that link, including any password-protected access codes you set;
  • Where required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request;
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of Desaign, our users, or others;
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy continuing to apply to your data.

8. Data retention

We retain your account data and uploaded/generated content for as long as your account remains active, so that you can access your Studio history and Showrooms. If you delete a garment, image, or Showroom, it is removed from active storage. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records (such as billing records) for longer to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations.

9. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten");
  • Restrict or object to certain processing;
  • Receive your data in a portable format;
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent;
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — in Denmark, the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@shotform.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

10. Cookies and local storage

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies and browser local storage to:

  • Keep you signed in (session tokens);
  • Remember your light/dark theme preference;
  • Assign an anonymous session identifier to visitors of a public Showroom, used only for the Showroom owner's analytics described in Section 2.4.

We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Because these cookies are essential to the operation of the Service, we do not currently display a cookie consent banner; if we introduce non-essential cookies (e.g. analytics or marketing) in the future, we will request your consent before doing so.

11. Data security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed password storage, and access controls limiting who can view your account data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for business use by professionals in the fashion and manufacturing industry and is not directed at, or intended for use by, individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice on the Service before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when this policy was last revised.

14. Contact us

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, please contact us at privacy@shotform.com.
